Lingbao Xinling Refining Co., Ltd. is based in Lingbao City, the "Golden City of China" at the junction of Henan, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces. It was founded in May 2005 with a registered capital of RMB 300 million and total investment of RMB1.2 billion，with the business scope covering mineral product development, non-ferrous metal smelting, electrolysis product sales, production and sales of sulfuric acid and chemical raw materials, waste metal recycling, and hotel and other services. At present, Xinling has more than 700 employees, including more than 60 with college or higher diplomas and more than 70 specialized technical personnel. With an industrial base covering an area of 367.39 mu, Xinling produces 100,000 metric tons of electrolytic lead and 100,000 metric tons of sulfuric acid, and recycles gold, silver and other valuable metals comprehensively.

Holding the industry's frontier in China and the world, Xinling works to seize the commanding heights of scientific and technological development. The production technology, oxygen bottom-blown smelting - lead direct smelting with oxygen side-blowing - sulfur acid production by double-conversion double-absorption process, is characterized by environmental friendliness, high operation rate, high recovery rate and high automation. It won the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards in 2004, and has been patented under the national laws of intellectual property rights. Featuring compliance with environmental protection standards, comprehensive recycling, lowered production costs and reduced energy consumption, the new technology of oxygen bottom blown lead smelting is applied in large-scale modern industrial projects of environmental protection, high technology and circular economy supported by the state. Encompassing its leading portfolio of products, the company strives to lengthen the industrial chain and has formed a circular production process system for comprehensive extraction and recovery of main and by-products with workshops for lead smelting, sulfuric acid, zinc recovery, electrolytic lead, electrolytic zinc, and gold, silver and copper smelting.

Xinling has always prioritized environmental governance along its development by adhering to the principle of "safety first and environmental protection first". The waste gas produced from oxygen bottom-blown smelting is recovered with waste heat boilers while having dust collected by electrostatic precipitators, and then is delivered to the acid system for acid making by recovering SO2 flue gas. After that the tail gas becomes compliant with standards and is discharged. Pulse bags are used for dust removal and the sodium-alkali process is used for desulfurization for the flue gas from blast furnace lead smelting. After that the tail gas becomes compliant with standards and is discharged, while the dust is recovered and returned to material mixing. The waste gas from smelting is discharged only when it becomes compliant with standards after multiple processes of treatment and subject to strict detection. Two sets of in-line monitoring equipment are installed and under 24-hour on-line monitoring by the provincial and municipal authorities for environmental protection around the clock. The waste water from production is recycled after treatment without discharge to the outside. The smelting water slag is recovered and reused by means of fuming and zinc extraction, and the remaining waste slag is sold as raw materials to cement plants. The production area has maintained an environment of "safe production, civilized production and clean production" through implementing a wide range of measures such as "9S" management, equipment tag-out management, production site management, product quality management, cleaner production management and safety system building. Moreover, Xinling has maintained a green garden-like plant area and works to create a new-type civilized and harmonious industrial enterprise of non-ferrous smelting with improving the vegetation and the environment.

In pursuance of excellent product quality, Xinling has established and improved its quality assurance and control system. Its leading products such as electrolytic lead, electrolytic zinc and sulfuric acid have passed international quality management system certification under ISO 9001-2015. Constant sampling has found that its products meet the requirements of relevant national standards of China, and its products are highly recognized among clients. The company has registered two trademarks, i.e. "Xinling" and "Hangu" with main products including the Xinling branded #1 electrolytic lead and #0 electrolytic zinc as per national standards, Hangu branded 98% industrial sulfuric acid, Gold, Silver, and copper and other non-ferrous metal products.

As the resources are limited, infinite circulation is the only way for the sustainable development of modern enterprises. Xinling facilitates comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and maximizes energy savings and consumption reduction to make the best use of mineral resources, realize complementary lead and zinc production, and build a leading domestic lead and zinc smelting enterprise. The company implemented the renovation and expansion project of the "multi- metal recovery form zinc-containing wastes" in April 2008. The renovation and expansion project is designed to effectively utilize the zinc recovery facilities of the existing lead-smelting system, make full use of zinc-containing wastes and the by-product of zinc oxide from local smelting enterprises, and maximize the recovery and utilization of valuable metals such as silver, copper, antimony, bismuth, cadmium and cobalt. The project is capable of producing 90,000 metric tons of high-purity zinc powder and zinc-based alloy, 20 metric tons of silver,360 metric tons of antimony, 400 metric tons of bismuth, 200 metric tons of cadmium and so on per year.

After rapid growth in recent years through adherence to scientific development and active pioneering and innovative efforts, Xinling has become a key industrial enterprise in Sanmenxia City and a large non-ferrous metal smelting enterprise in Lingbao City. It was named an "Excellent Private Enterprise in Henan Province" in 2009 and ranked among the top 100 private enterprises in Henan Province in 2010. It is one of the eleven enterprises in the Lead and Zinc Entry Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. In 2010, its production and sales were ranked 11th in China's non-ferrous metal industry.
